   On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Frontier Sciences, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of you!
    This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) also celebrates its 70th Birthday.A retrospect into the past 70 years, CAS has made great contributions to China's S&T advances, social and economic development and has greatly improved Chinese peopled livelihood.It takes great strides towards the world's S&T forefront with the "Pioneer Initiative” and is committed to making new breakthroughs and making more contributions to the world S&T development.
    In this golden autumn of November, we are gathering here in the beautiful campus of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in Huairou District, Beijing.With “Frontier Sciences for a Better Life” as the theme of this conference, the leading scientists from home and abroad are going to have in-depth discussions on major frontier sciences issues and provide far-sighted visions on how we can enrich the people’s life through science and technology.
     I am confident that this conference will yield fruitful outcomes, creating more S&T cooperation opportunities for us.I believe with our joint efforts, we will make new breakthroughs and contribute to the building of a community of a shared future for the mankind in this golden era of the 4th S&T Revolution marked by artificial intelligence, virtual reality, quantum information technology, etc.
