继半个月前被SCI数据库收录之后，创刊仅一年半的Light: Science & Applications（以下简称Light）再次迎来喜讯：通过Scopus内容选择与咨询委员会（Content Selection & Advisory Board, CSAB)的严格评审，评审专家认为Light具有较高的学术质量和广泛的国际适用性，荷兰Scopus数据库决定正式收录该刊。

　　Scopus数据库与EI数据库同属全球著名学术出版商Elsevier公司旗下，是目前世界上最大的文摘及引文数据库。该数据库收录了来自全球5000家出版社的18000多种经同行评议的出版物，学科覆盖了数学、物理学、化学化工、生物学、生命科学、材料、计算机、工程技术等各个领域。Scopus数据库完整收录了Elsevier, Springer/Kluwer, Nature, Science, American Chemical Society, Institute of Physics, American Physical Society, American Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry 等出版商出版的所有期刊。目前，Scopus数据库对期刊的遴选较为严格，在国内只选择了504多种高质量期刊。

　　Light是由中科院长春光机所与Nature Publishing Group（NPG）合作出版的中国第一本开放获取的光学期刊，也是长春光机所主办的第一本英文期刊，其网络版于2012年3月29日上线，印刷版于2013年开始出版。截止2013年10月21日，网络版已发表文章54篇，印刷版已出版6期（2012年1-4期合订本，2013年1-2期合订本）。Light致力于打造国际一流光学期刊，期刊创刊至今，已逐渐得到国内外光学界的关注和认可。而今Light被荷兰Scopus数据库收录，再次表明该刊在学术水平和期刊标准化、规范化等方面得到了国际上的广泛认可，文章的研究内容为国际学术界关注的热点，这为今后提升期刊的学术水平，扩大期刊的影响力奠定了良好的基础。

　　The title has been accepted because it publishes excellent articles that are of interest to an international audience. The editorial standards are high and the editorial board consists of respected international scientists. One potential difficulty is the low number of articles published in each issue. However, this may be expected to increase as the journal becomes established.
